The standard volleyball net height for men is 2.43 meters or 7 feet 11 ⅝ inches. However, to accommodate men players from the older age brackets, the height of the net can be lower. For men ages 55 to 69 years old, the net height recommended is 2.38 meters or 7 feet 9 ⅝ inches.
For the women the net should be set at seven feet four 1/8 inches (7' 4 1/8" ). There are also official net heights based on players belonging to different age groups.
